What should I do when a loved one passes away?

When a loved one passes, it can feel overwhelming. The first step is simply to contact AnLe Funerals, and we will guide you calmly through what needs to happen next.

If the passing occurs at home, a doctor or another suitable healthcare professional such as a nurse or ambulance officer will need to attend. In hospitals or aged care, staff will assist initially. Once you contact us, we will arrange the transfer of your loved one into our care. If the deceased is transferred to the Coroner, we will arrange transfer once clearance is provided.

You do not need to make decisions straight away. We will guide you step by step so you can focus on your family.

What happens after I contact you?

After you contact us, we take care of the immediate arrangements, including transferring your loved one into our care with dignity and respect.

We are available 24 hours a day and can arrange transfer promptly, including during the night where required.

Your loved one will be taken to our professional mortuary facilities in Keysborough or Fairfield.

We also coordinate with hospitals, aged care facilities, cemeteries, crematoria, and other providers on your behalf.

We will then arrange a time to meet with you in person, either at your home, our office, or another suitable location, to guide you through the arrangements face to face.

Where will my loved one be cared for?

Your loved one will be cared for in professional mortuary facilities in Keysborough or Fairfield.

We take great care to ensure dignity and respectful handling at every stage.

Can we have a viewing or funeral service before cremation or burial?

Yes. Families may choose to have a viewing, a funeral service, both, or no service prior to cremation or burial.

We have well-presented viewing facilities in Keysborough, Clifton Hill, Fairfield, and Williamstown, and may also arrange other suitable locations where available.

Private viewings can also be arranged for close family members prior to a funeral service.
