Burial Services
A burial is a traditional form of farewell where your loved one is laid to rest in a cemetery. For many families, it provides a lasting place for remembrance and connection.
At AnLe Funerals, we guide you through the burial process with care, clarity, and respect.
What is a Burial?
A burial involves placing your loved one in a coffin or casket and laying them to rest in a cemetery.
Before the Burial
Families may choose to include a viewing, a funeral service, or cultural and religious ceremonies. These can be arranged to reflect your family’s preferences.
On the Day
This may include a service followed by a procession to the cemetery, where the coffin or casket is respectfully placed into the grave as part of the final farewell.
After the Burial
The grave is respectfully filled following the service, and families may later arrange a headstone or memorial.
Cultural Considerations
Burial practices can vary depending on cultural and religious traditions, including timing and ceremony. We will guide you through these considerations.
Guidance
We understand this can feel overwhelming. You do not need to decide everything immediately — we will guide you step by step.

What is the difference between cremation and burial?
Cremation involves placing the coffin into a cremation chamber where the body is respectfully reduced to ashes. The ashes are then returned to the family.
Burial involves placing the coffin into a grave at a cemetery, where it becomes a permanent resting place.
Can we have a service before cremation or burial?
Yes. A service can be held before either option.
What happens after a viewing or funeral service?
After a viewing or service, families may follow the hearse to the crematorium or cemetery.
At the crematorium, the final stage involves the coffin being respectfully transferred into the cremation chamber. At a burial, the coffin is placed into the grave as part of the final farewell.
What happens on the day of the funeral?
On the day of the funeral, our team will guide you and your family through each step of the service.
This may include a viewing, a service, and the final stage at the crematorium or burial site.
We coordinate everything to ensure the day runs smoothly and respectfully.
What does interment mean?
Interment refers to placing a coffin or ashes in a cemetery.
What happens after the funeral?
If cremation has taken place, ashes are usually available for collection by the family within approximately 2 days.
For burials, the grave is filled in following the service, and families may arrange for a monument or memorial to be placed at the site.
We are still here after the funeral or cremation to support families if needed. We also complete final documentation on your behalf, including applications for a death certificate.
